My Everyday Life With An Amazing Little Girl

Bahamas

First vacation at 4 months old was a week in Crooked Island, Bahamas. Can you say lucky? There's no way we would've gone on a trip like this if my aunt and uncle didn't live there. The amount of travelling and the amount of baby things we needed to bring with us was overwhelming. But Ellie handled it like a trooper. She was an angel on her first flight down there. Even getting delayed and getting into Nassau way past her bedtime that first night didn't phase her. All that fresh air made her nap more than usual and sleep better at night than she did back home. She helped mommy celebrate her birthday, napped under the gazebo, swam in the ocean everyday, and got another tooth on February 24. She amazed me with how easy going she was the entire time. Every day 2-3 new people would stop by to see her and hold her, and she never once cried. RJ and I keep saying we got lucky with her, and it really is true. She is such an easy going baby.

Ellie's first plane ride.
Midnight in Nassau. Trying to get Ellie to sleep in bed by us because it would have taken too long to unpack her bed and put it together. We didn't get much sleep that night.

Finally reached Crooked Island

Exhausting day on the beach

Ellie was eyeing us up while we ate our banana creme pie, so I gave her a little taste of banana pudding.

All smiles afterwards.

Daddy's favorite thing to do down there, read a book under the gazebo.

First day going in the ocean.

February 23 was my birthday. It was the best birthday I've had. Just being with my little girl was present enough.

Aunt Vicky taught Ellie to blow raspberries.
